Dr. Laurie Benton

Dr. Laurie Benton obtained a doctorate of clinical psychology from The Chicago School of Professional Psychology in 1998 and has since worked as a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois. Dr. Benton currently maintains a private practice at the Grayslake office of North Shore Behavioral Medicine, where she provides adult, child, adolescent, and family psychotherapy. She also conducts psychological evaluations and provides seminars and trainings to agencies and organizations. Her areas of interest continue to be child, adolescent, and adult behavioral and emotional impairments such as anxiety, depression, bipolar disorder, oppositional defiant disorder (ODD), attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD), complex trauma and PTSD, personality disorders, grief and bereavement.

Dr. Benton works to join with children, adolescents, and adults as they journey to deepen their understanding and acceptance of the thoughts, feelings, and reactions they face throughout life’s experiences. She supports them as they explore the ways they have come to protect themselves from pain and hurt. Dr. Benton guides clients as they begin to interrupt patterns and make different choices.

Dr. Danielle Ciccone-Coutre

Dr. Danielle Ciccone-Coutre is a licensed clinical psychologist in Illinois (#071009251) and Wisconsin (#3550), and is a Board Certified Rehabilitation Psychologist via the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP).  Much of Dr. Ciccone-Coutre’s training and experience has encompassed a cognitive behavioral and solution focused model of treatment. She works predominantly with adults in all phases of life.  She specializes in the assessment of, and healthy adaptation and adjustment to, life changing events (i.e., medical, physical, cognitive, and emotional).  Dr. Ciccone-Coutre utilizes an approach that emphasizes individualized care and planning, along with the provision of a safe and comfortable environment to enhance the therapeutic relationship and movement forward towards both short and long-term goals.

Dr. Ciccone-Coutre is currently in-network with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO, United, and Medicare. She can also provide a superbill to those individuals preferring to use out of network insurance benefits.

Due to COVID-19 precautions, Dr. Ciccone-Coutre has adjusted her typical in-person sessions per CDC guidelines to a primarily telehealth platform, via ZOOM Health (free, easy to use, and safe).
